In September 2025 I had the pleasure of spending a week in Colombia on the occasion of the launch of the Spanish edition of my Hans Kelsen’s Political Realism (2021), now available as El realismo político de Hans Kelsen (Bogotá: Unijus, 2025).
The trip was more than an academic tour: through lectures, book talks, and public events in Bogotá and Medellín, I engaged in a lively dialogue with colleagues and students, but also with civil servants, civil society, and business leaders — a truly inspiring exchange on law, politics, democracy, and the future of international order.
Representing Austria’s political science community in Latin America, in my capacity as Chairman, was both an honor and a joy.
